Rome

Rome was great. I liked the less touristy things that I did (Ostia Antica, Appian Way, The National) better than the common sites to see in Rome, not that they are any less amazing. However, having hundreds of people with you all taking pictures, as well as all the people trying to sell you garbage everywhere you go, takes away from the experience. Rome is interesting in that there are ancient monuments/structures scattered throughout the city and it is quite easy to stumble upon them, even when not trying to. The Metro system in Rome is quite small for how big of a city it is. There are only two lines: A & B. Compare this to Berlin, which must have 10-15 different lines at least.
